Day 2 and Women of the Word (WOW)

Our day kicked off with the team’s three thirds bible study. We aim to meet for half an hour -we started at 9am and finished at 10:40am -God blessing us with things to share!

Peter, Ashenafi and Ben went for a boys day out - discussing Biglife principles and enjoying authentic Italian cuisine -yes you did read that right -Italian. But fear not we have been delighting our taste buds with wonderful culinary Indian delights!

At 11am the ladies on the team headed up to the conference room and were greeted by sisters from within the Biglife family. The ice (no chance of this over here -lol -not when temperature is tickling 20 degrees each day -sorry folks!) So, the ice was broken with some fabulous games which got us all giggling, grabbing and having a massive amount of fun.

We worshiped God in Bengali, Hindi, and English. We were honoured with an amazing welcome dance from a young lady -which was so special and made us feel really privileged to be joining these women today.

The team provided an off-the-cuff drama communicating the life of Joseph, which mirrored the themes that Jane brought out in her wonderful and encouraging message to the ladies based on Mark 5 - Jairus’ daughter and the woman who bled for 12 years.

The day was punctuated with Chai tea breaks and a gorgeous lunch!

The latter session brought more laughter with games and a challenging message from Sister Gillian -who encouraged us all to commit. Commit to Jesus. Commit to the Church and commit to the great commission.

We were also reminded that sharing Jesus with people is not the job of the pastor, it’s not the job of the men -the work belongs to us all. The harvest is plentiful - are we prepared to be workers? Are we prepared to be involved in the great commission? After all we worship a God who sent his son whose involvement in our world looked like nails and death on a cross.

So we ask you…are you prepared to commit? Are you prepared to have a BIG involvement in the GREAT commission? Are you prepared to get out in the field?

And if you are worried that you aren’t qualified -don’t worry Jesus is the BEST teacher.

We worshipped into the night and like all Yorkshire folk we rounded the night off with a good old cuppa tea.
